Tripoli Patterson is a pro surfer. He’s lived in Bali and New Zealand. He puts together fantastic exhibitions for artists he discovers in his travels. His tee-shirt line’s like Christopher Holland’s on acid. New York’s hipster elite love him. So too do older, more established gallery owners. Among the east end’s young wave riders, he is God. And he is only 24.

How To Throw A Rooftop BBQ

GofG Throws Its First BBQ
[Grill master Chris Brady, Nick Wyman, and Ben Fink Shapiro]

From: guestofaguest.com:

Go HERE for more photos of this event.

When we’re not out east on the weekends, we’re throwing parties on our rooftop. You’d be amazed what you can do with a couple of Heineken keg cans, a few bottles of cheap red wine, hotdogs, and corn. Our rooftop beerbeque last night had quite a cast of characters from bankers, gropers, bloggers, scenesters and everything in between. Well we could continue to write about it, but pictures are probably the easiest way to understand the shenanigans…

i was searhcing fo methods in which one would throw a rooftop event, such as yours. Could you provide me with any steps taken to put on the event:
-were there any permits or notifying of the city
-how were u able to get the building
    -etc.

    any help would be appreciated…Thanks

It’s “our” building (where the magic happens). There were no permits, just the permission and good will of our landlord and neighbors.
