“I Like To Be Older. It’s Nice To Be At The Montauk Yacht Club, Alone With My Dog, Rather Than Have Someone Throw Up On You!”

What health conscious reality chef/star recently had this to say about why the Hamptons are better now that she is older? Click for answer below… More »

Thinking “Naturally Thin” With Bethenny Frankel At The Wolffer Estate

[Kristin Luciano, Bethenny Frankel, Carson Griffith, Kendra Seay]

On June 24, we embodied the “Naturally Thin” spirit while attending Bethenny Frankel’s book signing at the Wolffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack. The event was sponsored by the Southampton Parrish Art Museum. With the weather holding up for the evening, everyone at the event looked to be having a great time. The Wolffer Estate vineyard was a gorgeous backdrop for the book signing of, “Naturally Thin: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting.” The pictures show just how excited we were to meet the Real Housewife of New York City herself. Although it may sound cliche, it was true that Ms. Frankel was extremely cordial, and even prettier in person while sporting a fuchsia wrap dress. More »

Clothes Make The Woman

We loved how this 80s inspired throwback stood out in the much more conservative crowd at Bethenny Frankel’s book signing on Wednesday night. Her bright make-up and “Like A Virgin” flared skirt and pearls had us glad that we could spot her from across the room thanks to her towering heels. But as we were poring over our pictures this morning, what really got to us was the one black glove look she sported that night, made popular in the 80s by none other than the King of Pop himself, the now deceased Michael Jackson. We’re sure she’s high on his list of those mourning his death today, as are we.

The Wolffer Estate Goes Green For The Group For The East End’s Eco Fabulous Benefit

Go HERE for more photos by JT WHITE and TAG YOURSELF and YOUR FRIENDS!

The Wolffer Estate went historically green Saturday evening as the Group for the East End hosted their first-ever 100% green benefit for the EcoFabulous in the East End event. Bio-diesel generators powered the benefit which raised more than half a million dollars to protect and preserve eastern Long Island’s natural environment featuring a cocktail reception and “farm-to-table” dinner provided by local farms and chefs. We caught up with green guests Jared Clark and Suzanne Fuller before checking out the luxurious Eco-Auction including eco-spa treatments, environmentally friendly hand bags, Brilliant Earth’s recycled gold jewelry and many other eco-friendly goodies.

Clothes Make The Eco-Couple

This event wasn’t the only thing that was fabulous on Saturday; Suzanne Fuller and Jared Clark came out dressed to impress for the EcoFabulous cocktail and dinner event held at the Wolffer estate. Golf claps for any man who can coordinate plaid, stripes, and polka dots without clashing and Jared Clark pulls it off effortlessly in this combo. With madras pants and a matching bow-tie, he prevents himself from looking too “matchy” by using a simple navy blazer and tucking a light blue striped shirt underneath. Topping it off with a blue polka dot pocket square, and Jared looks like he walked straight out of a J.CREW catalog. Suzanne was draped in a short white frock with a singular long sleeve, and accessorized with a gold cuff, large cocktail ring, and gorgeous, oversized chandelier earrings with turquoise beading. “Kenneth Jay Lane?”, we asked. “No, they’re…” Don’t worry, Suzanne. Your secret’s safe with us.

James Beard’s Chefs And Champagne Already Making Me Hungry (And Thirsty!)

james beardThis Saturday the James Beard Foundation is honoring the prolific and rather ubiquitous Wolfgang Puck at its annual summer gala, held at the Wolffer Estate in Sagaponack. While Puck’s cuisine can be found in every city, supermarket, and airport, the event’s edibles will be definitely more exclusive.

Govind Armstrong, Harold Dieterle, Anne Burrell, Craig Hopson, Oliver Muller, Bill Telepan, and Fabio Trabocchi are only a few standouts among the 35 contributing chefs. In case your tastebuds need further teasing, the menu is reprinted below. Oh, and there’s also going to be all-you-can-quaffables from Henriot, Lanson, and Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne.

Why You Shouldn’t Miss Wolffer’s Twilight Thursdays

vineyards at the wolffer estate1) Wolffer’s vineyards are always gorgeous in the summer, but give them a little sunset backdrop and bamn! instant romantic photo-up.

2) There’s live jazz; and jazz always gets better with wine

3) The wines, or at least most of them, are really good, I think (I don’t really know wine. at all).

4) There’s free cheese.

5) Actually, the whole shebang is free AND there’s no reservations necessary. See you there!

Christian Wolffer: A Bubbly Man

wolffer estate, sagaponackI’m a total and complete uncouth girl when it comes to wine: make it sweet and white or effervescent. The wines at the Wolffer Estate are markedly not sweet, so when Rachelle and I joined the Plum team for some post-wrap bonding on Wolffer’s lawn, I wasn’t sure what to order. As the other girls waxed rhapsodic over the rose, I scanned the menu. I’d had the rosé before, and while I can tell it’s a good wine (I think), it is, again, not sweet.

And then my eyes alit on the Cuvée brut. Dared I sparkle so early? I did, I decided, and it was delectable, kind of lemony and nutty tasting and very dry. I liked it because I like anything that fizzes, but I’m pretty sure it would please much more discerning palates than mine. Have you all tried it? What is your favorite Wolffer wine?
