Around 6:30pm every Monday evening crowds flock to the beach to witness the spectacle that ensues. A group of drummers get the crowd dancing and cheering. A little rain wasn’t enough to keep this crowd indoors Saturday night as guests mingled across the lawn at Whimsy Farm, the private home of Martin and Mary Puris in Sagaponack for the ninth annual Midsummer Night Drinks event. Cocktails were sipped beneath umbrellas as guests arrived to the benefit for God’s Love We Deliver, a New York City non-profit organization providing nutritional counseling and meals to people living with life-altering illnesses like HIV/AIDS, cancer, and Alzheimer’s. MIdsummer Nights party go-ers included Fern Mallis, Simon Doonan, Jonathan Adler, Mala Sander, Carter Cramer, Douglas Marshall, Mare Prince, Karen Pearl, Nick Dietz, and many more.

Okay so this house, in Sagaponack, doesn’t actually still belong to the author (it is now owned by fellow artist Ross Bleckner ), however it will always be the site of where much of Truman Capote’s work was penned.

At a beautiful Sagaponack estate, Connecticut clothiers Martin + Osa with Creative Time busted out the Veuve and hors d’oeurves to raise money for the named organization. Yours truly (moi) was on the host committee as well as Jonathan Adler, Siman Doonan, Mark Lagrish and Mike and Eloise D’Agastino. Attendees included AFL’s David Chines, fashion illustrator J. David McKenney, and our favorite boys Timo Weiland, Kristian Laliberte, and Sean Patrick Murray.
