While Lounging Poolside…

[Photo by Keller + KellerEat This. In the event that you have yet to read or hear about the Lobster Salad at Loaves & Fishes in Sagaponack, then it likely will surprise you that their Lobster Salad costs $100 per pound. No, you did not read that incorrectly, the Lobster Salad costs 100 American Dollars. Makes you sorta wonder what is it exactly that they are putting in their lobster salad? Perhaps gold shavings with trio of platinum, diamonds, and rubies sprinkled atop? This price may be steep for some, therefore today’s While Lounging Poolside recipe, courtesy of Food & Wine Magazine, is for a cold Lobster Salad. More »

Eavesdropping Is What Guests Do Best…

  • Ms. Manners would not have been pleased with Twilight star, Kellan Lutz and AnnaLynne McCord, after he “jokingly” announced to the party guests that he and McCord were looking for a place to f*ck. Thankfully they found an empty bathroom [PageSix]
  • A silent auction at the Vered Gallery in East Hampton is auctioning off a 1984 painting done by Andy Warhol of Michael Jackson. The auction ends July 12th, with estimates of a painting selling price between $1-10 million, so hurry folks. [Vered]

Okay so this house, in Sagaponack, doesn’t actually still belong to the author (it is now owned by fellow artist Ross Bleckner ), however it will always be the site of where much of Truman Capote’s work was penned.

Truman Capote’s Mark On Sagaponack

Truman Captoe

Hampton Style has an excellent article about the house of long-time Hamptons character Truman Capote (whose Breakfast at Tiffany’s inspired our sister site’s original nom de blog).  Like so many of us who spend time out East, he loved his time there, because it was

“… a retreat… it was not Manhattan. … it was so much quieter.  You could hear the ocean…”
