[Vanessa Bolger, Rachel Coker, Jennifer Park, Tabitha Alterman. All photos by Adriel Reboh for PMc] Outdoor concerts are the best way to spend a summer night even if it’s with classical music instead of the muddy rock fests you might prefer. A small taste of the 2009 Inauguration made its’ way to Sag Harbor Saturday evening as The Perlman Music Program celebrated their 15th Anniversary with a special debut concert of John Williams’ piece “Air and Simple Gifts” which was specifically composed for the this year’s Inauguration and arranged for the evening by the composer himself… More »
[Picture via CobraSnake] Did you know that the Hamptons has only one K-12 private school? You would think this place would be stock full of them. Then again, not many people stick around after the summer season. The Ross School (yes, the same one that you see on plenty of event and party invitations) is located in East Hampton, and has less than 400 kids enrolled in grades 5-12… More »

This silver bullet was quietly nestled in a parking spot on the street in Sag Harbor. Forget the Range Rover, driving around in an antique car now sort of seems like a right of passage when in the Hamptons. Wishing my car knowledge was better, identifying this slick silvery auto is a tricky one. Any ideas GofG readers as to the make of this classic Hamptons automobile? [Hamptons Car of the Day]
No need to keep guessing at what that gold material is on the back of this Morris, for it is wood trim. Back in the day this type of construction material was used before the automobile was even invented, a la the covered wagon days. However, this is 2009 and this Morris does have wood trim. Not too sure what purpose it serves, but it sure adds some cool flare to this antique spotted in Sag Harbor. More »

Set in the quaint setting of Sag Harbor’s Madison Street, the Rizzoli Bookstore at Empire Gallery was host to Kelly Klein’s book signing of her second photo-collection, Horses, this last Saturday.
