And we’re not sure what would be worse, being bombarded by advertising for the reality version of the Gossip Girl rip-off or actually running into the teenage brats kids on the Upper East Side somewhere. Luckily for us, the only television promos that have crossed our paths out here have been in the form of planes pulling Royal Pains banners - and we’re just fine with that. It seems everyone in NYC that we’ve talked to are just as annoyed with the existence of the show as we are, so we’re as happy as Lobster Roll clams that the only exposure we’re getting to this rubbish are the previews that interrupt our Real Housewives marathons. Today’s contestants were some very popular Hampton’s housewives: Countess Luann de Lesseps vs Jill Zarin.  The verdict? Well, it looks like having a longer, more pronounced name really does matter as Countess Luann beats out Jill in ranking, despite having less people connections.  Both ladies summer out east, and enjoy crushing fellow cast member Ramona Singer at tennis.
