Sophia Bastian Makes Her Way From Talkhouse To Surf Lodge
[Pictures by Rob Rich] Sophia Bastian is taking the East End by storm. First introduced to our boss lady in New York City, Rachelle recommended we catch a show by the “Jazz School Drop Out” when she sang at Stephen Talkhouse last Tuesday. More of a weekday crowd (ie. quiet and intimate) than we were used to from the rowdy Amagansett bar, we were able to experience her music up close and personal. And we were hooked. So of course we were elated when we heard she was singing another set just five days later at Surf Lodge. More »

Suit Up!
The beaches here are often filled with seagulls, certain times more than others, and while we know lots of people aren’t fans of the squawky beach birds (cough Rachelle), they certainly make for a perfect summer print for a bikini, like this bargain version from Target for a mere $28. By matching the bird print top with a navy and white striped bottom it keeps the seagull pattern from becoming overwhelming…

Minnie Mortimer the fashion line budded out of her creativity and love for clothing. Stylecaster and Calypso St. Barth, along with a crew of happy hosts were pleased to have some beautiful weather that has become very uncommon here in the Hamptons as of late. Erin Lucas of The City, the very social and Scott BuccheitKristian Lalibarte, Social Life magazine’s Devorah Rose, Stylecaster’s Carol Han, Hayley Bloomingdale, and our very own Rachelle Hruska were swigging cocktails and playing the role of life of the party as any good host or hostess should do. After the Stylecaster & Calypso St. Barth event on Saturday at Sole East, you would think we would have had enough of their multi-colored flirty wares. On the contrary, our friends. In fact, we’ve actually gone a little Calypso crazy, especially after seeing Rachelle roam all over Montauk in her midnight blue frock. But it’s not exactly practical to soak up the rays in a calf length cocktail dress, so we decided to browse Calypso’s collection for an equally adorable bikini. More »

Chilling Out From The Hamptons Glitz With John Scott’s
Sometimes the glam and the glitz of a long weekend can get to be a little much. Don’t get us wrong, we love a nice cool glass of rose at Day & Night, or checking out what label Nikki Hilton has on at Lily Pond as much as the next weekender. But if you’re looking for somewhere to take a load off after all the preening, plop your pretty butt in plastic chairs, and take a break from it all, we might have just the place for you.
