via guestofaguest.com: So, Montauk is known for their surfing and Cornwall is known for their belly-boarding (apparently?). Afterall, that is where the Belly Boarding World Championships are held. I fell pretty silly that I never knew that, don’t you? I also feel pretty silly I never knew there wasn’t a specific uniform you had to wear. I thought there would be regulations and guidelines you had to follow but apparently anything flies - including sashes and tutus. Check out what else these ladies were rocking…More>>>

Drink this. Even if you’ve never had the pleasure of making it up to Maddie’s Sail Loft in Marblehead, Mass (the Yachting Capital of America), you can still drink like the sailors do with their signature “Thunderdome” drink. While we’re not quite sure how many sailors actually indulge in this fruity vodka champagne cocktail, I can tell you from experience, I’ve seen this concoction knock many of manly men on the floor. Because while the drink may call for equal parts of fruit juice to alcohol, the heavy handed, scruffy bartenders at the coastal institution definitely don’t always stay true to form… More »
[Photo via tcolla] Surf Lodge is capping off their outdoor Surf Cinema series Sunday night with an oldie, but a definite goodie. This weekend’s film was released in 2002, but still considered by some to be one of the best of its’ kind. September Sessions is a documentary created by surfer/musician Jack Johnson who followed a group of pro surfers with a camera surfing the waves of the Sumatra Islands. Sure you can watch this flick at home, but why do that when you can catch surfing legends on the outdoor big screen while lounging in the sand by the water in Montauk. More »
Rachelle is pretty stumped how we never met our summer loves out here. Don’t get us wrong, we met some good guys. A pretty great dancer at Love Heals, a contender for Best Dressed in Montauk, calls we never answered and probably never will, and some pictures we’ll store away in our drawers for a long time to come. But there are certain reasons why we never did in fact get to that Danny/Sandy Summer Lovin’ stage and we want to thank Maxim.com for putting their finger on it. [Photo via TreeHugger] We’ve spotted the Green Truck parked outside of Surf Lodge a few times offering up gourmet all-natural foods for anyone craving an organic treat in Montauk. The mean green driving machine runs on previously used vegetable oil and aims to “save the planet one meal at a time” with their menu only using certified organic ingredients that are good for you and the environment.

[All photos by ROB RICH] We’ve all been there. Especially on a Saturday night and especially at Surf Lodge. But since the end of summer arrived last weekend along with the end of Surf Lodge’s season, getting to the bar by pushing your way through 6-foot surfer dudes and groups of dancing Montaukers was totally worth the “so packed I can’t move” crowd. The Montauk chill spot was a favorite for almost everyone heading East this summer (including GofGHamptons), so appreciating every bit of time there during Labor Day weekend was a must even if that meant starting your own bar-side party during your neverending wait for a drink like this group above. They wasted no time celebrating the end of summer…
