Honoring Dick Cavett for the preservation of his Montauk moorlands, The Nature Conservancy threw a gala in Bridgehampton this past Saturday. Entitled “Beaches & Bays”, the event was held at Mecox Bay, appropriately overlooking the water. The pricey party (normal tickets were going for $600) started with cocktails and hors d’oeurvres and was followed by dinner and dancing enclosed in white tents.
