All photos by ADRIEL REBOH for PMC] It’s safe to say c/o The Maidstone stayed busy over the Memorial Day Weekend offering a more laid back approach to the charging party scene that extended across the East End. The Hamptons International Film Festival took over the hotel at the start of the weekend while Lisa Anastos along with Amanda Hearst, Martin Dawson, Shamim M. Momin, Dalia Oberlander, and Arden Wohl capped off the Maidstone’s festivities on Sunday as they hosted the kick-off for the Watermill Concert 2009. More »
[Image via Bird] Short shorts are making a comeback for the boys this summer providing an in-between alternative for those you want to take it above the knee without heading into Speedo territory. What do you think guys? How short is too short? If you’re headed to the pool or the beach, these classic Steven Alan swim trunks could be perfect for the casual gentleman on the go as long as you don’t mind showing a little leg. More »
Hippie-chic zen Mountauk resort Solé East’s Backyard Restaurant played host to a slew of socials, medialites and rising celebrities at a private dinner hosted by iconic luxury Italian shoe line Sergio Rossi and the new redesigned Social Life covergirl Alexandra Richards. Guests included the Sergio Rossi be-decked cast members of Nick McDonnel’s seminal New York coming of age story turned movie Twelve, including Sports Illustrated model Esti Ginzburg, Phillip Ettinger, and Cody Horn (who’s dad happens to be president of Warner Brothers), who all have major roles in a film that recalls the excess of Manhattan’s privileged high schoolers. A grade A gentleman like Luigi Tadini deserves a super special birthday celebration. Though he’s nowhere close to being a Leo (he’s actually an Aries), we all missed his big 25th milestone in the spring. Sunday night’s “un-birthday” party at The Surf Lodge in Montauk more than made up for it. Besides the amazing menu courtesy of Sam Talbot, the sweet voice of Bebel Gilberto, and the picture perfect sunlight, a dozen of his closest friends were there to help him toast his Quarterlife.
Luigi always looks phenomenal….though he looked particularly dapper preparing for his “un” birthday party this past Sunday night at Surf Lodge. Full write up of this event to follow.
The themes of my weekend. After drinking too much champagne in Quogue, and not enough Rosé at East Hampton soirees, I winded down my weekend in my favorite summer spots for a true “un-birthday.”
Upon explaining to George Gurley that this was the “Summer of Surf Lodge” for me…I had to follow up with that bold claim, ending Sunday night listening to Bebel Gilberto’s beautiful voice wow the guests at Luigi Tadini’s “un-birthday” bash. Never have I seen a more stylish, and gracious host than Mr. Tadini as he made sure each and every one of his guests were taken care of.
I wish I could stay out here forever….or at least a couple more days. But it’s back to New York, a city on the verge of some big thing I keep hearing people talking about. Something to do with fall, and fashion. I can’t comment yet, my head’s still stuck in the sand.
Luigi Tadini is one of the coolest cats around. No seriously, nicest guy ever, with impeccable style. Did you know he’s planning a BIG party this summer? Plum TV was there to capture the fun (Claire and I were a small part in the fun, experiencing some lobster rolls and paddle boarding in Montauk with the superstar).
