Situated directly on the beach and with water as both the front lawn and backyard, this home has a sweet charm about it. Mildly resembling the home featured in the film, “Nights In Rodanthe”, it has no owners as of yet. To those lucky ones that will eventually move into this newly built abode, it looks perfect to be both a summer beach house and a warm place to retreat during the cold winter months. Any guesses GofG readers as to where this cherry-wood home is located?
This Hamptons home is the creepiest we have come across yet, leaving us with chills at the sight of its abandoned state which is apparently the topic of a hearing next week to decide whether or not is should be torn down. From the Southampton Village Review: "379 Captains Neck Lane LLC: Demolish existing house. Build new house and detached garage. The existing house, on the corner of Down East Lane, is not landmarked, is in a historic district, and was built after 1926 and therefore does not need special permission to be demolished."
It is pretty clear why this home deserved house of the day. It is not often you see a robins-egg blue home with purple detailing out here in the Hamptons. With everyone constructing Hamptons McMansions that are so huge they could support a small village, it is a chromatic house like this that gives the East End character and a unique sense of identity. This salmon-colored stucco and clay roof tiled home exudes a Latin American feel. Tile roof homes, most commonly constructed in tropical environments because of their ability to withstand heavy rains and strong winds, is a rare sighting in the Northeast. Make you wonder then who resides behind these black iron gates? Family of the infamous Pablo Escobar possibly? Any ideas GofG readers… More»
This Hamptons house rocked because of the state of their "lawn to be." Although this home is still under construction, the dirt covered lawn looks like the perfect Hamptons locale to practice your motocross skills. So grab your Kawasaki motorcycle, and the GofG Hamptons crew will see you at the starting line…vroom vroom. More»
One of our GofG readers just sent us this four bedroom, four bathroom home located in the heart of Watermill complete with a pimped out jacuzzi tub, heated pool for splashing Diddy-esque pool parties, chef's kitchen with a large refrigerator for Cristal stocking purposes only (no food allowed), matching his & her sports cars, and a huge where-the-magic-happens master bedroom. The best thing about today's crib you might be wondering? It's for sale. That's right, this 3,500 sq. ft. pad could be yours for all of your VIP Hampton-ing needs. Do you have a Cribs worthy estate you think we should know about? Email us your pics! [Hamptons House Of The Day]

To get from East Hampton to Sag Harbor, many would opt for route 114. Though, probably the quicker route during low traffic times, I have been directed via GPS to take Swamp Road on two separate occasions and have welcomed the change of scenery.
You have to be careful on Swamp Road….it's very VERY curvy, but that's most of the fun. This morning while driving to Java Nation, I felt as if I was in a Mario Cart game. Anyway, the houses are mostly hidden but I found a couple (including this one) that managed to show their faces to the other Swamp Roadsters.
