Hitting The Course For The Fifth Annual Hamptons Golf Classic

The Gofg Hamptons Team had a great time at this year’s Hamptons Golf Classic V. and we weren’t the only ones. Golfers cruised around the course in friendly competition with cocktails in hand stopping by the bars set up at various holes featuring tasty beverages from Hypnotiq, Malibu Rum, Dos Equis, and many more with host New York Knicks B-baller Chris Duhon in support of his Stand Tall Foundation, which Duhon created in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in August 2005. As a pre-cursor to the Hamptons Golf Classic V, participants and those just in it for the entertainment or golf carts (like… us) came together for the Hamptons Golf Classic Dinner held at Savanna’s on Sunday night. The exclusive event was a small soiree, with delicious treats and a happy crowd soaking up the good weather.

From The Club To The Course, The Award For the Rowdiest Golf Foursome Goes To… Team Dune
[Matt Shendell of Dune fame checks out his next shot] Apparently no surprise to everyone who was at the Hamptons Golf Classic last year, we have to give it to Team Dune for the most fun, rowdiest group out there once again for another round. The fun foursome, made up of Dune genius Matt Shendell, right hand man Daniel Whaldron, Glenn Cho, and Topher Grubb was definitely the team for us to follow as they had us zipping around behind them (thank goodness Kendra’s golf cart driving is better than her golf skills). Clothes Make The NBA Player

Some people left matching outfits behind with Crayolas back in Elementary school, but Chris Duhon and his mom were re-starting the trend at the Hamptons Golf Classic dinner held at Savanna’s on Sunday night. Kicking it old school, they sported tops of varying coral shades over white pants for the night’s cocktail and dinner festivities. Chris choose a sweater, but his mom, Vivian Harper, jazzed it up a bit with a collar-style halter with some decoration along the top. Not that Chris Duhon ever has trouble standing out in a crowd, but this certainly helped. With the whole family there for him as well as the Stand Tall Foundation, his charity the Hamptons Golf Classic is supporting this year, it’s no wonder they were looking so festive.

New York Giant Justin Tuck Swings For Hamptons Golf Classic
[Justin Tuck] Justin Tuck, defensive end for the NY Giants, arrived back from his day of golf just in time for dinner, The Hamptons Golf Classic awards, and a quick chat with Plum TV. Game day on the golf course is slowly coming to an end as players and guests wind down in time to sip cocktails, catch dinner, and to finally find out the winner of the annual tournament. Checking In At The Hamptons Golf Classic: Taking A Break From The Screen To Brave The Green

We’ve set up shop to bring you all the goss from the Hamptons Golf Classic but it’s time we leave our coffee, cocktails and laptops behind and hit up the green with the big boys. I’ve already taken one swing and struck out (literally… I whiffed), so we’re going to try our luck with our golf cart which they set up for Team GofG Hamptons. Don’t miss us too much! We’ll be back! Live Posting From The Hamptons Golf Classic!
We lucked out today, because the weather is beautiful and so are the greens at the Hampton Hills Golf & Country Club, and we’re not just saying this because they’re currently scattered with celebrity golfers and Hamptonites who have extended their weekends a day longer to participate in the Hamptons Golf Classic V. We’ll be working from the sunny venue all day, tracking the scores (and drinks) of people like Jill Zarin, Chris Duhon, Richard Johnson, Justin Tuck from the Giants, and just about every big name in Hamptons nightlife. Play For Pink Golf Tournament at Hampton Hills Golf & CC

‘Tis the season to be golfing, and we’ve been getting all of the inspiration we’ve needed from Stephanie Wei. And, even though the rainy conditions were not idealistic for playing golf, the Play for Pink Golf Tournament went off with no problems on June 18 at the Hampton Hills Golf & Country Club in Westhampton. This was the 10th anniversary of the Play for Pink tournament, with proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. With the Hamptons Golf Classic coming up next week, we can only hope the weather holds up like it did for the Play for Pink tournament.
