The only time an SUV can truly get away with being topless is when it resembles some sort of off roading safari-like truck. This Hamptons car of the day spotted in Bridgehampton, has its’ top attached in the picture but can be removed if desired. Not only does this vehicle look like it can hold more than the Hamptons toughest streets but it’s decked out with some interesting bumper stickers. More pics below… More »
Keeping with this week’s convertible theme, this bright blue topless beauty was recently spotted and even in the dark, it was hard not to notice this beautiful antique sports car. Fortunately, the rain held out the same evening these pictures were taken so the blue-mobile escaped an unexpected and certainly undesirable shower. [Hamptons Cars]
Based on the cars we have recently spotted in the Hamptons, August’s hot and humid weather looks like it is here to stay. This may explain why there are more convertibles cruising around some of the Hamptons’ most popular streets. We noticed this silver convertible while on our way to the Social Life Magazine party this past weekend. Full coverage from that event on the way… [Hamptons Cars]
As the temperature rises in the Hamptons, the drop-tops start coming down. This blue beauty was spotted in Bridgehampton, just being its cool-blue iridescent self. With temperatures reportedly going to rise to in the nineties this week, some cooling relief will certainly be in order. And what better way to do that then with a ride in this convertible car.

Okay, so today’s car of the day is more of a joke due to its unique use of construction materials. If you have ever seen a racing or car movie such as The Fast and the Furious, a majority of the cars in the film have an added piece called a rear spoiler. This particular dark green car spotted in Southampton had a structure that was likely intended to resemble a rear spoiler, however… More »
You know you are summering in the Hamptons when…the Range Rover is so popular that you pass dozens of RR’s no matter where you go. It is essentially the summer staple car…and the GofGHamptons mobile happens to be one. After spotting not one, not two, not three, but FOUR Range Rovers parked alongside one another on Main St. in Sag Harbor, NY we affirmed our previous suspicion that the Range Rover is truly the official Hamptons staple car… More »
This flat-bed green Gator truck was spotted in the parking lot of this weekends Super Saturday event. The truck was happily nestled among the countless Mercedes’, Range Rovers, and medley of other luxury cars . As displayed on the back, this auto runs on diesel thereby upping its Hamptons coolness and intimidation factor by a one hundred. Adding a fun touch to the car is its fake Hawaii license plate advertising the message “Hang-Loose” on the back. [Hamptons Cars] More »
[Photo via Twitter] Some of the smallest cars that exist are those you get in your cereal box as a prize. However, this tiny auto was not found at the bottom of your breakfast, it was spotted outside of the Blue & Cream store in East Hampton, NY. By merely looking at the parking space in the photo, you can tell that this miniature car hardly takes up half of the spot… More »
[Photo via Manonthemove] This blast from the past, Volkswagen Type 181 Kurierwagen, was spotted outside of Georgica Restaurant & Lounge in East Hampton earlier this May. Supposedly the car was abandoned by its original owners. This automobile is also known as The Trekker and stemmed from the original Volkswagen Beetle. Wish we knew where this car was now? [Hamptons Cars]
[James Brooks in our Volkswagen Touareg V6 TDI] Team Hampton left the Range Rover at home this weekend and tried out the latest Green car from VW. The VW Touareg TDI pronounced “tore-reg” got 25 miles per gallon on the Montauk highway (quite a difference in our gas bill this weekend!) Also, it runs on diesel. We took the thing all over, starting at the Thrillist party in Southampton. Here’s some things we learned… More »
These two cars were spotted owner-less and key-less at Day & Night. Somehow the owners did not seem to fully understand the concept of valet. It works like this…Step 1: you pull up to the valet, Step 2: an attendant approaches your car and asks for your keys, and Step 3: you leave your car and the parking attendant parks it. Unfortunately, the owners of these two cars must have missed Step 2… More »
