After guests finished celebrated The Art of Fashion in The Hamptons Summer Gala honoring Marjorie Chester at Guild Hall, they headed over to the home of Tony Ingaro and Randy Kemper in East Hampton. The event, which was sponsored by Van Cleef & Arpels with Town & Country, was the perfect precursor to the beautiful outside dinner held at the couple’s home. The big, elegantly decorated tent housed names like Beth Ostrosky, Betsey Johnson, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Tory Burch, Liam McMullan, Olivia Chantecaille, and David Yurman.

[Christie Brinkley rocking out for photographers. All photos by Rob Rich] Christie Brinkley was ready to rock Friday night for the highly anticipated Hamptons screening of It Might Get Loud at the Guild Hall in East Hampton. She was so ready in fact, that she busted out her air guitar before taking her seat to watch the film directed by Academy Award winner Davis Guggenheim (Inconvenient Truth). Christie Brinkley has been spotted in the Hamptons channeling her inner stage mom, having fun on the red carpet, and now showing off her invisible string-strumming skills. Hm…Is it possible we have a former cover girl turned Guitar Hero pro on our hands? More photos below and check back later today for full coverage from Friday night’s Hamptons screening.

[Actress Amy Irving and director hubby Kenneth Bowser. All pictures by ADRIEL REBOH for PMc] Celebrating Guild Hall’s presentation of Tennessee Williams’ Glass Menagerie, c/o The Maidstone threw a bash in honor of the cast and crew this past Saturday. The tear-jerker of a play, originally written as a screenplay for MGM back in the 1940s by Tennessee Williams, will star Amy Irving amongst a cast of on-screen big names and back-stage talents. Also there to celebrate was everyone’s favorite Hampton regular Alec Baldwin as well as Mariska Hargitay. Yeah, we’re not quite sure why either, but maybe they’re big fans of the play also? We hear it’s a good one.

All photos by ADRIEL REBOH for PMc] The Hamptons International Film Festival and the Guild Hall hosted a screening of documentary “The Cove” Friday night at c/o The Maidstone to kick off the summer with a more relaxed evening than the rest of the weekend’s party-goers romping around the East End. Guests mingled about the newly re-launched hotel including the film’s director Louie Psihoyos, Nick Leighton, and the hotel’s new owner Jenny Ljungberg who has been busy with the re-launch of the hotel while simultaneously blogging about it. Is it possible The Maidstone is the first Hampton’s hotel with its’ own blog?! More »
For all its bleak and creepy premise, Hiroshi Teshigahara’s Oscar-winning film is a thing of methodically constructed, surrealist beauty. Niki Junpei is an amateur entomologist whose trip to collect beetles in a remote area of sand dunes runs longer than expected when he misses his return bus. The dune dwellers persuade Niki to spend the night in the home of one of their own, a young woman who lives under a sandpit.

Janus Films is a renowned distributor of foreign, forgotten, and classic films, and to celebrate its 50th anniversary, Guild Hall and curator Gavin Weisen will be presenting Rediscovering World Film: Gems from the Janus Collection -eight films of various nationalities and time periods, films that he feels best represent the Janus archive. The first of these is Ingmar Bergman’s big break, the sharp and racy romantic comedy Smiles of a Summer Night.
