Clothes Make The Do-Gooder

[Picture by Steven Ekerovich] It was all fun and games per usual this past Saturday afternoon, but with an added bonus: A Do Good! for FEED event. And with this came an extra little twist on the usual dress for some people as well. One supporter rocked his “do good” shirt with more than just your average pair of jeans though. His 80s era patterned jacket is fit for a Patrick Bateman style trip to Miami. He’s paired the perfectly matched combo with a pair or bright red shorts that practically look swiped off a lifeguard - but still somehow makes it work…

Clothes Make The Family

[Bella Buzzetta, Hasmik Buzzetta, and Joe Buzzetta. All photos by Rob Rich] If this family was looking for the perfect picture for next year’s Holiday card, we think they may have found it. This past Saturday ushered in week three of the Mercedes Benz Polo Challenge at Blue Star Jets Field in Bridgehampton, and with it came more stylishly dressed spectators. We found these three at the Ralph Lauren tent doing their part as brand ambassadors… More »

Clothes Make The Costume

[Picture by JOE SCHILDHORN for PMc] We’re slightly confused at some of the people’s attire at events out here. We know during the summer everyone gets a bit more liberal with dress codes, but we’ve seen some serious liberties being taken when it comes to people expressing themselves. Now even though we sometimes even miss the dress guidelines on invitations, every party certainly can’t be theme out here all summer, can it? So where are all these costumes coming from? We thought Mr. Pink Elephant was the only one who donned one on a nightly basis, but we were definitely wrong. From cowboy outfits, to full length sequins, we’ve been wondering where some people come up with these things. Former Project Runway contestant Austin Scarlett is no exception to the rule…

Clothes Make The Gatsby Girls

via guestofaguest.com: Nothing says summertime more in the Hamptons like The Great Gatsby. Not only is the setting perfect, but who doesn’t want to take part in a party whose theme is basically materialism, a lack of morality and endless partying? And if we’re not going to get all deep here with symbolism, 1920’s clothes are probably the most fun thing you can wear on a warm summer day. Little flowy, fringy flapper dresses, loads of pearls and costume jewels, and hats, flowers, and headbands galore. When else can you dress like a 5-year old who raided their grandmother’s closet and actually look hot while doing it? And for the boys, it’s the perfect excuse to mismatch stripes and plaid, whip out those bow ties you haven’t put on since your prep school days, and hike up those socks with your shorts. Vests and hats are encouraged, as is seersucker, and there’s never such a thing as too much white. But the best part of this party over a real Gatsby one? The alcohol is legal. Take that Jay.

Clothes Make The Future Style Icons

[Harry Brandt and Peter Brandt II. Pictures by Rob Rich]

These two have a long future of being heartbreakers ahead of them, and we have a feeling they headed to the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge at Blue Star Jets Field on Saturday to pick up some tips from the master himself, polo player Nacho Figueras. Sporting argyle summer sweaters and white pants, they looked adorably dashing against the summer sky and bright green grass. Just in case anyone accused them of matching too much though, they differentiated in their blue and green. Harry, in the green, went with some serious aviators, white driving shoes, and a simple tee underneath it all. Peter, in blue, choose black loafers for some contrast and a more “Chuck Bass” look of a tucked in tie underneath his sweater and collared shirt.

Clothes Makes The Ladies

We caught these blonde headed gems at Oakland’s Restaurant & Marina over the past weekend. It seems safe to say that their fashion choices made quite the bold statement, which most patrons at Oakland’s also had no trouble noting. One was sporting a pair of rose patterned white pants with a matching red tank top while the other chose a slightly more adventurous and vibrant route rocking a pair of white pants and a feather trimmed multi-colored poncho…

Clothes Makes The Kid

[Ocean Mulholland. Photo By Rob Rich]

Somewhat of a Hamptons child celebrity, little Ocean Mulholland appears to be having a great time while at The Surf Lodge on Saturday. The completing factor of Ocean’s outfit consisting of a green Polo shirt, woven fedora hat and dark blue jeans is his red lollipop. And seriously, can you think of a more perfect childlike accessory than candy? Ocean partied the night away at the popular Montauk chill spot showing his Dad and Surf Lodge owner Jamie Mulholland some new dance moves.

Clothes Make The Patriot

[Alex Glen. Photo by KirillWasHere] You know, going through the hundreds of pictures we have from this past Holiday weekend has really got us thinking here at the GofG Hamptons headquarters. Why should the Fourth of July be the only day that sporting an outfit made-up entirely of red, white and blue be totally socially acceptable and downright fun? Why is it the only day that a grown man can run around in an American flag speedo and be considered the life of the party instead of that guy running around in an American flag speedo?

Clothes Make The Skipper

[Photo by Rob Rich] Ah, can’t you just smell the ocean breezes now. This chap, spotted at the Shark Attack Sounds 4th of July party, certainly got the point that the party was at a “Yacht Club”, more specifically the Montauk Yacht Club. Not only did he choose to wear a nautical themed shirt wallpapered with anchors and sailboat steering wheels, but to make his 4th of July outfit complete his skipper hat matches his skipper neck tie.
