Socialite Celebrates July 4th Weekend In The Slammer
[Jules Kirby] We heard a few murmurs here and there following the July 4th weekend about a possible socialite arrest but no solid details were thrown our way, so we continued to believe the holiday weekend came and went dodging all scandal. Thanks to CityFile, we now know the truths behind the rumored arrest and Jules Kirby was indeed taken into custody in Southampton on July 3rd. New York City socialite arrested? Yes. Scandal? Eh. We hardly consider spending the night in jail for trying to steal an American flag from someones front yard while holding a cocktail scandalous. We’ve seen worse. What do you think? Rosé-filled flamingo bong anyone? The Koch brothers have you covered, and then some as they added rosé-filled water guns and yes, flamingo bongs into the mix of debauchery that took over their July 4th brunch extravaganza. This comes to no surprise as they’re “see the world through rosé colored glasses” motto carried itself above and beyond Saturday afternoon for their Independence Day & Night 4th of July Bash. Day & Night staffers were armed and ready with their booze-filled plastic weaponry leaving every patriotic party goer in attendance drenched, thirst quenched, and ready for partying mayhem, all before sundown.

Hamptons Youngsters Throw Party Of Their Own For 22nd Annual Southampton Fresh Air Home American Picnic
[All photos by ADRIEL REBOH for PMC] The Southampton Fresh Air Home hosted their 22nd annual American Picnic complete with the famous Grucci Fireworks over the Shinnecock Bay Saturday evening in support of the children of the Fresh Air Home. While the majority of Hamptons scenesters, socials, and party animals forgot about fireworks all together, these Hamptonite families and dozens of youngsters got into the patriotic spirit with the most anticipated family Fourth of July fireworks event in Southampton with festive carnival booths, arts & crafts, a fully stocked picnic feast, and yes, an over-sized inflatable moon bouncer.

A Hamptons 4th of July Backyard Bash Done Right With Ben Lerer And Friends

Thrillist founder Ben Lerer and internet mogul turned party-throwing pro took a break from his computer to host a July 4th BBQ backyard bash in Water Mill Saturday which had every one of his patriotic party goers in for one of the rowdiest parties hosted during the Hamptons holiday weekend. Ben teamed up with pals DJ Tanner, Ryan Harwood, Emily Rotter, Perry Rahbar, David Rodolitz, Ryan Alovis, Eric Sobotka, Mike Hamilton, and Mike Hesekiel for The Independence Day throw-down complete with jello shots, bikinis, booze-filled pool floats, kegs, blow-up dolls, and a champagne sprayed crowd partying the day away poolside.

Nightlife gurus, swinging bachelors, business partners, and BFFs Mark Birnbaum, Eugene Remm, and Michael Hirtenstein of the EMM Group hosted a private July 4th pool party with Perrier-Jouet at the EMM Group’s East Hampton estate. The intimate outdoor soiree included Russell Simmons, Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr, David Lee of the New York Knicks and rumored love birds AnnaLynne McCord and Kellan Lutz, stopped by before heading over to Social Life Magazine’s Gatsby bash. Guests played football, tossed beach balls, and snacked on burgers from the EMM Group’s latest project, restaurant Abe & Arthur’s opening in New York City this fall. More photos below… More »

Even though we didn’t see too many 1920’s themed costumes at the Social Life Magazine’s Gatsby: Under The Red, White and Blue July 4th Party on Saturday, we did see groups of pretty people sporting otherwise patriotic outfits and festively themed attire. Most importantly (at least in the opinion of every hot-blooded American girl there), we also saw Kellan Lutz, and as editor-in-chief Devorah Rose put it, God really did break the mold when he made the Twilight star.

New York City Celebrates The 4th Of July
via guestofaguest.com: While we were celebrating our nation’s Independence under the stars in Montauk, scores of New Yorkers were catching out the Macy’s fireworks show on the Hudson River. It was the first time since 2000 that the Macy’s display took place over the Hudson and not the East River. The Statue of Liberty opened up her crown for the holiday. MORE>>

The boys of Team Facelift, celebrated the unofficial release of their new album with a performance and party at AXE Lounge in Southampton Thursday night and what better way to kick off the Fourth of July weekend than with the New York-bred trio including Fonda, Machine, and The Fat Jew. We stopped by just in time for the boys whose “aim is basically to do to rap what Elton John did to being gay” to take the mic performing for the surprisingly packed Thursday night crowd. We had a chance to chat with the kimono-clad “Fat Jew” who gave us the privilege of fluffing his afro and rubbing his belly before promising a future interview as soon as everyone was drunk enough to participate…

Why: A shark was just recently spotted from a beach in Quogue, and we feel certain he was probably en route to Montauk for Photographer Ben Watts’ July 4th party with a huge soccer game kicking off at 6pm followed by BBQ at 8pm. AND don’t forget to bring a book for an Accompanied Literary Society donation!
