Hamptons Hamburgers
Reading the NYT article this morning on Parisians’ new obsession with burgers has got me a) drooling, and b) wondering where’s best round here to do something about it.
I know Rachelle loves the Surf Lodge’s egg-topped version, and The Palm does a fantastic broiled sirloin one, but I figure, as burgers are the consumate summer food and the Hamptons are, right now at least, a consumate summer getaway, that there must be myriad other options. I’m not so interested in the haute burger -the city has those in abundance. What I’m looking for is simplicity and highest quality ingredients, cooked medium rare. Suggestions?

I’ll be the first to say it: Bay Burger! While you’re there, get a shake. Skip the fries. And the secret $2 cow beer is Bud Select
