“Best 2k I Ever Spent” July 4th Surf Lodge Concert Series
[K'Naan performs at Surf Lodge. All photos by ROB RICH] Not everyone needs floating poolside jello shots, rosé-filled water guns, and table-top dance parties, to celebrate the holiday weekend. Some just need the sunset, a deck chair or two, live music, and a frothy margarita to complete their night out. Montauk fans and regulars kept it cool for their July 4th weekend on the deck of Surf Lodge with a live performance by Somali rapper and upcoming star K’Naan as part of the Surf Lodge Patron Outsdoor Concert Series.

Please, please leave Montauk alone. You like Montauk and Amagansett so much “because their beaches remain the least touched by Manhattan glamour”? Then WHY have a spot like surf lodge there? The “peace and laid-back vibes of Montauk” are getting destroyed by places like the surf lodge and newcomers who just care about the latest scene! The whole point of Montauk is that we don’t want people who are “the grand Manhattan kings and queen of Goldbar and Cain” and “the hottest beach spot on Paradise Island in the Bahamas” here - can’t you go party in the hamptons? We come here to escape!
