2009 Summer Kickoff Party for Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala

Photos by Adriel Reboh for PMc] This weekend the Summer Kickoff Party for the 2009 Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala was held at a private residence in Watermill. Started in 1985 by Princess Yasmin Aga Khan (daughter to Rita Hayworth), the galas and donations together have raised more than $220 million dollars towards the Alzheimer’s Assoication. Rita Hayworth, one of America’s most glamorous, well-known and sultriest movie stars, unfortunately succumbed to Alzheimer’s Disease in 1987. Today the Rita Hayworth Galas are hosted in three cities nationwide including Chicago, New York, and recently added Dallas.
More photos and story from this event below…This summer kick off party was held in honor of the upcoming New York Gala. It will be held at The Waldorf Astoria this October 27, 2009 with tickets starting at $1,250 for an individual seat. Some of those in attendance at this kickoff party included Princess Yasmin Aga Khan, Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, Anne Hearst McInerney, Jay McInerney, designer Nicole Miller, and James Lipton.
