Dinner At Sen, Sag Harbor
I finally tried out Sen in Sag Harbor this Wednesday where I got to introduce my friends Christine Cho and Stephanie Wei to each other. Chris and Steph were, I swear, twins in their last lives. Now that these two, who are both contributers here at GofG know each other, I can’t wait to see the fun trouble they will cause in my life! The sushi was just good but the company was the best!

Shaq Spotting In Sag Harbor

…there’s a mouthfull for ya! The big guy was spotted in one of my favorite places out east last weekend, Sag Harbor. And, from what it looks like, he played it cool in his wife beater and jean shorts.

Hamptons Car Of The Day
Don’t we all want an itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny yellow convertible? This Alpha Romeo managed to distract us from the adorable houses and polo-clad enforcement officers of old Sag Harbor. Attention owner: if you have any interest in rovers, email us right now!

Live From Java Nation Coffee, Sag Harbor
Time for a change of space from the standard Starbucks work station in East Hampton. I have found my newest favorite place to work: Java Nation in Sag Harbor. The staff is uber cool, the people are chill, and the wireless is free (and fast). They are lacking on food items, but what they lack in culinery treats, they more than make up for with their French Mexican brew.
If you’re in the area, I’ll be here all afternoon, stop in and say hi. (Nick Gregory, my Plum TV host just did).

Hamptons Rental Of The Day
What this house lacks in graceful construction, it more than makes up for in location (a bucolic, peaceful road in Sag Harbor right by Long Beach), amenities (jacuzzi, steam room, pool, tennis), and availability (now through Labor Day). If you rent it now, you’ll be able to come to our 4th of July BBQ with the Lola boys!

Tracy Morgan To Show His Sag Cred
Tracy Morgon has yet to meet an NC-17-rated tale he didn’t like. He’s smug and self-deprecating, ebullient and petulant, off-color and insightful, often in the same breath He’s the spitting image of his semi-eponymous 30 Rock character, only more so. He’s confessional far past the point of TMI. He has an unabashed lust for waspy blondes, which is most likely what’s bringing him to Sag Harbor’s Bay Street Theatre. When I saw him at Boston’s Comedy Club, he had the audience (a rougher, at least vocally tougher crowd than he’ll have tonight), in hysterics from the opening monologue to the closing kiss-off. Decide if Bostonians just have lower standards by clicking here.

Hamptons Share Of The Day
If you want to be this girl, this share’s for you. This 8BR Sag Harbor chateau boasts bottomless booze, bocce, free meals, a jumbo hot tub, pool, and water fall. For some reason the owners are in dire need of “athletic” young females. Sorry, gentlemen. More »

Sex, Drugs, and Transvestites Under A Shanghai Moon
[Image via Charles Busch]
I’ve lived in Manhattan for a year and a half and not once have I been to a play. I have trouble suspending belief, with seeing more than a stage and heavily made-up actors. And I hate musicals. Camp, however, and parody, I do like, and both are in abundance in Charles Busch’s Shanghai Moon, which opens today at the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor. The play is set in 1930’s China, and stars Mr. Busch as Lady Sylvia Allington, a young American who is seduced by the East’s illegal pleasures. More »

Mary Quant 2.0: Lisa Perry Hits The Hamptons
Those of you who are already popping Xanax at a questionable rate over the prospect of showing up to the Southampton Hospital benefit in the same Tibi frock as your neighbor, her daughter’s friend, and her daughter’s friend’s pomeranian, should make a beeline for Lisa Perry’s new eponymous boutique at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. According to Perry, the clothes (think pop-arty, A-line shifts, cropped, fitted jackets, and skinny trousers) are “geometric, bold and whimsical, combining clean shapes with bright colors to create a simple, chic aesthetic. A modern take on vintage classics…” More »
