[Photo by Adriel Reboh for PMc] Over the weekend a kickoff party for the 2009 Alzheimer’s Association Rita Hayworth Gala was held at this gorgeous estate in Watermill. Early reports from those in attendance were that the inside of the home was even more breathtaking than its’ exterior. Go HERE for photos from inside this beautiful, sprawling estate. [Photo via ConstantA] Certainly one of the most famous homes in America, the Three Ponds Estate located in Bridgehampton, NY is situated on approximately 60 acres of land. This 25,000 sq. foot estate features 14 gardens, a U.S.G.A rated 18 hole golf course, a 75 foot pool, and grass tennis courts to top it all off… More »
[Photos by ADRIEL REBOH for PMc] It was only a matter of time before the 2009 Hampton Designer Showhouse Home was featured as the Hamptons House Of The Day. Sponsored by Traditional Home magazine, the interior of this Watermill Estate was designed with the help of over thirty participating designers… More »
[Photos via ColdwellBanker] Coming in at number two on Curbed’s Top 10 Most Expensive Hamptons August Rentals List, is the Farney House. The oceanfront mansion is located in Sagaponack and is on the market for the rental price of $450,000. If you have more of an interest in buying instead of renting the home is also being sold at a cool $35 million pricetag. More »
While driving to the beach, a friend of ours recently stated that ”as far as modern homes go, there is a very fine line between modernism and the 80’s.” Pleasantly nestled in the dunes of the Hamptons. this estate embraces the ideas of geometric shapes well. As a result, it’s architecture maintains a modernistic look instead of a product of the 80’s. Can you guess where we spotted this boxy abode…
Off of the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, there is a very popular row of homes that is called Boathouse Row. After seeing this row of homes in the Hamptons, we couldn’t help but think of this area as the “Boathouse Row” of the Hamptons, but called McMansion Row instead. We can’t imagine very many other places in the United States where you would see a sight such as this…
The size of some Hamptons homes never ceases to amaze us. In fact, the term “home” should be replaced with behemoth estate when it comes to the Hamptons. This gigantic residence was spotted on the famous, Gin Lane, located in Southampton. We cannot even begin to imagine the intense game of hide and seek (or absurdly large house party) that could go on in this oversized abode. [Hamptons House Of The Day]
This little slice of lemon heaven was spotted in Southampton and sure enough this building was actually the guest house to a much larger estate hidden behind a wall of green hedges. In addition to the lemon yellow paint job and the terra cotta roof, the down sloping windows made it a stand out on its’ quiet Hamptons street. We only wish we could have gotten a peak at this guest home’s parent house… More »
This palatial estate, like many of the most extravagant homes in the Hamptons, is located ocean side. Separating it from many of its neighbors is it unique use of stone. Even though the stone chimneys give this home more of a woodsy upstate New York vibe, it is a true-blue Hamptons home. Hopefully this home was not located where the recent 24 foot shark wash up occurred.
While these trunks may not look like much compared to some of the patterned and pretty things we’ve picked before, in this case, it’s all about quality. Birdwell Beach Britches, the mom and pop company based out of Santa Ana, California, is “hardcore surfwear for men”. So hardcore, in fact, that the company that has been producing topnotch official lifegaurding boardshorts for over 30 years doesn’t feel they need a topnotch website - But don’t let their basic and less than aesthetically pleasing site fool you. Their product will certainly make up for it. So how did we find a company so obscure? More »
While driving by this house for the first time, I thought it was a set of newly constructed condominiums due to its immense size. Upon further observation, I came to realize that it is actually one singular oceanside home. This picture unfortunately does not do the homes’ size justice, but lets just say it is definitely an understatement to call the home huge.
