Apparently, TopShop is taking our Endless Summer motto very literally, because while some of their clothing store counterparts just keep slashing prices to get rid of their swimsuit inventory, the British shop actually seems to be getting a few new bikinis in. Take for example, this rope print bandeau bikini in white and blue with a cute little bow in the middle and removable straps (in case you aren’t a huge fan of tan-lines). It’s a shame that we couldn’t have gotten our hands on this at the very start of summer, but for only $50.00 it’s still a worthy buy even this late in the game. Because even if we aren’t the best at tying sailor knots, we sure don’t mind wearing them. [Suit Up!]
Shecky’s Night Out is every girl’s dream with cocktails, shopping, and beauty under one roof. The fun happens for 80 nights all over the country and last weekend the shopping extravaganza made its’ way to the Hamptons which means every fashion-savvy Hamptonite made a run for Southampton. No joke. A line down the block with bus loads of gals pouring onto the street outside of the Southampton Historical Museum…. More »
[Make-up artist Kerry Malouf and Savannah Buffett. Photos by K. Doran for Rob Rich] So where have celebs like Kat DeLuna, Khloe Kardashian, Savannah Buffett, and Alexandra Richards been getting all dolled up when they’ve head out to the Hamptons? The Maybelline and Garnier Surf Salon at The Surf Lodge, thanks to celeb hair stylist Danny DiMauro and make-up artist Kerry Malouf. With full blown coverage everywhere from Star, OK! Magazine, PMc and right here, it’s the summer hotspot for hair, make-up and trying out the latest in Maybelline and Garnier’s products. We got the star treatment last Friday (the day before Savannah got the works)… More »
[Picture by JT WHITE] Or in this case, lack of clothes. Apparently these two work better undressed. Looks like some gray body paint was all the rage at the The Moskova Affair, sponsored by Hamptons Magazine and Stoli, this past Saturday - well, for the performers that is. To add to their ensembles, some strategically placed fake foliage was thrown into the mix. We didn’t notice any greenery mishaps, but we’re not quite sure how that stayed in place all night with all the twisting and turning that was going on. The magic of the arts!
If you haven’t picked up on it by now this summer, shorter shorts are the look. So we hope you’ve said bye-bye to your baggier, longer trunks and picked up a pair of short-shorts - or at least shorter. You’ve probably caught on to our feelings about Vilebrequin, and we definitely appreciate these blue stripe ‘Moorea’ swim trunks by the beloved company. The cool 80s feel to the color striping, elastic waistband and tie, along with the perfect length make us big fans. So who wears short shorts? We hope you do boys! [Suit Up!]
Tracy Feith is a Surf Lodge staple. The designer himself, his clothing, even his look-alike: they all pop up at the Montauk hot spot regularly. So when we saw this African print bikini we thought it would fit in perfect with the laid-back atmosphere of one of our favorite places. A little bit on the pricey side, what really swung us was the polka dot lining of the suit. That and the over-sized bow sold us - Tracy Feith has done it again. So even if you can no longer purchase this suit at the Tracy Feith boutique located in the Surf Lodge, we got you covered. Although we’re not sure if we recommend wearing it as your attire on a Saturday night. [Suit Up!]
[Katie Floyd, Devorah Rose, Megan Floyd. Photo by JT WHITE] How do you make it to multiple events in one day without an outfit change? We’re still trying to master this, but looks like Devorah Rose of Social Life Magazine and models and sisters Katie and Megan Floyd had it down to an art this past Saturday. Here the hot blond threesome was snapped at the charity event for Best Buddies held at the Tory Burch store in East Hampton. All smiles for the camera, without having to dip into their closets again the three also hit up the screening of The September Issue at Goose Creek, and Castlestock at Sir Ivan’s later that night. That’s probably the explanation for their floral ensembles. And we got the scoop on who’s wearing what. Devorah is donning Yigal Azrouel (a gift from the designer) while Katie’s wearing a vintage number, and Megan’s in a pink flower wrap dress. Ready to go from day to night, they were tied to the hip for the day and we would be too if we were that well coordinated - right down (up?) to the hair color of their long, loose locks. More »
[Picture via Zimbio ] We thought we’d bring you a taste of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival in Brisbane just in case you weren’t able to take time from your busy Hamptons schedule to get to Australia. This suit that debuted there from Riot Swimwear is a dainty little ruched one-piece that looks like it’s a continuous piece of water. Even if you think the matching cover-up is a bit overkill, we think you’ll agree that it’s definitely different than anything we’ve seen so far.

[Photo by ADRIEL REBOH for PMc] As designers like Donna Karan have already shown us this summer, just because you work in fashion, that doesn’t mean you always have to be red carpet ready. Especially if you can pull it off as well as Tory Burch does. She’s got casual-cool down to an art, and she showed off her laid-back look at the charity event for Best Buddies with The Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at the Tory Burch store in East Hampton on Saturday. Although there were tons of pretty ladies sporting Tory frocks, she chose to keep it chill in a pair of dark, cargo khakis, a big stone belt, tee and cardigan. Accessorized with a peace sign purse, the look was very Bohemian and casual Saturday. Her t-shirt was the perfect advertisement for the upcoming Fashion’s Night Out on September 10th, which Tory and other designers will all be sure to take part in and fashion fans will all be sure to enjoy. Full coverage from the Best Buddies charity event coming soon… More »
[Photos by Adriel Reboh for PMc] By now you may have heard of Castlestock this past weekend, or even more likely, the man behind the madness, Sir Ivan, a fixture on the party scene in the Hamptons. If not, we’re sure you’ve seen him around Lily Pond or the Social Life Estate or plenty of other places rocking his capes and elaborate outfits. We think this one may take the cake, fitting his Woodstock themed party perfectly. The psychedelic outfit was really brought out by the strobe lights used and was emphasized by a number of cape changes (both sporting large peace signs). Even though the majority of Sir Ivan’s guests took part in the “mandatory flower” dress code, he by far won in the 60s/70s theme. We have to give him major credit - He may be the only person we’ve seen who can mix 3 patterns, a cape, and 25 colors, and make it work. Full coverage from Castlestock to come! At the charity event for Best Buddies at the Tory Burch store in East Hampton on Saturday, we had some worries for our bank accounts. We had to resist the urge to scoop up the fall fashions just hanging on the racks. But considering the practicality of wearing a sweater coat in 85 degree weather, we held back (for the most part). If you, like us, want to get a Tory fix though, you can still do it with this Grenada bikini. More »
