[Picture via Blue & Cream] Sweatsuit, that is. Because it was jacket weather this morning, not only out here, but in Manhattan as well, so we hear. Where has our precious summer gone?! Well, we refuse to reform just yet. And while we are about to make our way back to the concrete jungle of NYC in just a few hours and immerse ourselves in the chaos that is Fashion Week madness, we still refuse to give up on our summer memories. So go on and throw on this head-to-toe Lamptons sweatsuit from Blue & Cream. Yes, the sweatpants and the hoodie. Because this suit will serve as a great reminder all winter long of all those other days this summer you played around in a different type of suit - the type you can swim in. And all we gotta say is - at least it’s not a business suit.

[Shawn Sadri preps for some fist pumping at Day & Night in Southampton] We just couldn’t let the whole summer go by without featuring the Hamptons favorite dentist. A weekend fixture out here, Dr. Shawn Sadri of Central Park South seems to be just as good at fist pumping as he is at flossing. But since every one of his get-ups is as good as the next, we were kind of put in a pickle. We just didn’t know which one to feature. So we kept holding out, waiting on the next one. And before we knew it, the summer had came to an end! But luckily for us, his Facebook profile (obvi we are friends with the guy - how else would we keep up with all his partying antics? Not even we can attend all the rose guzzling, booty shaking, benjamin flinging fetes this guy goes to) captures all of them…

[Luchia Hwong Gordon, Addriana Kaegi, Cassandra Seidenfeld Lyster. Picture by PATRICK McMULLAN for PMc] No, it’s not Easter time. But these lovely ladies have found occasion for pulling out the pastels: The 34th Annual Hampton Horse Classic. While they all chose a nice flowing, floral day dress for the event, each one selected a different color for the sport. They were all on the same page when it came to hats though; Apparently the theme of the day was the wider the better! It’s just not a horse race without the right hat. If we all learned one lesson from Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, that was it (well, that and don’t be a hooker… unless Richard Gere is involved), and it looks like these ladies took it to heart. As long as these three stick together, they make quite the pretty picture.

We’re glad we’re not the only ones refusing to give up on summer. J.Crew may be putting practically everything that has to do with summer on sale, but they’re refusing to do the same with their swim-wear. In fact, they’re even breaking out some new suits just in time for Labor Day, like this Terra Paisley print J.Crew/Catalog exclusive. As soon as we saw the big pic of the itsy bitsy bikini at the top of the screen, we just knew we had to get our hands on the suit. More »

Done right, the all-one-color look can be easy, fun and classic. It looks like Miss USA 2007, Rachel Smith, hit the nail on the head with her all-red ensemble. She wore the head-to-toe bright hue to Surf Lodge on Saturday, complete with a thick belt and a big red bangle. The color contrasted nicely with Rachel’s dark locks and her beauty queen blinding white smile. And what better backdrop for the former pageant star than a sunset at Surf Lodge? Her vintage-esque pleated dress gets our approval - and so does that winning (literally) smile. The former Miss Tennessee took a trip up East to share some fashion sensibility and enjoy some Hypnotiq at the event. Here’s one girl who looked like she was having a blast last Saturday.

The weather’s been a little chilly here the past few days, and while the beaches are still full of people packing in the last week of summer, the nights have been better suited for a sweater than a swim. But we found the perfect solution if you’re looking for a swimsuit for those chillier days and transitional weeks from summer to fall: This “sexy fake fur bikini, worn here by Laetitia Casta, will keep you warm in all those important places while frolicking… well, wherever you deem it necessary to frolick in a fake fur bikini. JRL’s bedroom perhaps?…

Before you think I’ve totally lost it, and GofG should probably pluck me from all Fashion Week activities all together, let me explain. I’ve been craving an 80s/early 90s inspired suit like this for quite some time (especially one affordable in price at $39.99 like this Hot Tuna Pop Art One Piece). It’s totally the perfect thing for all theme parties, or even Halloween! Just pair it with some roller-skates, knee socks, and you have yourself the ideal Roller-girl outfit. And if Labor Day weekend at Day & Night is anything like the Fourth of July, we’re sure you could even pull this off there… More »
[Peggy Siegal. Picture by Rob Rich] Apparently being a public relations magnate isn’t good enough for Peggy Siegal. She also has to be quite style savvy as well. At the Hampton Classic Horse Show this past Sunday the PR guru showed off that she’s definitely mastered her fashion skills by sporting this eclectically cool look that any girl would love to be donning - including us. The vertically striped and neutrally colored sheath was gathered in at the waist with a beige belt and topped with over-sized gold necklaces. What really makes her stand-out though, are her unexpected, funky bright blue plastic wayfarers. Whether they’re designer or bought straight from the streets of a Soho street-stand we’ll never know the difference, but they top the look perfectly…

[Bruce Springsteen and wife, Patti Scialfa. Photo by Rob Rich] Looks like “The Boss” and his wife of seventeen years, Patti Scialfa were ready for tromping through the mud at the Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton this past weekend. Thanks to a little rain in the previous days, a whole lot of mud may have built up, but these two were ready with their matching boots and aviators. Thankfully, the sun did decide to peek its’ head out and those glasses came in handy, along with Bruce’s baseball hat, and Patti even got to show off a bit of leg. We have to appreciate a couple that color coordinates so well together, especially when they come so prepared. We definitely approve. What can we say? The guy can sing, write, AND has great style. Afterall, he is “The Boss”.

What better to make yourself look like you walked straight out of a Slim Aarons coffee table book than with this Emilio Pucci Torre one piece. With it’s under-wire design for an automatic boost, sexy cut-out, and cute little bow, it’s got the understated sexy appeal that was all the rage in the 60s and 70s and that made poolside glamour so popular back then. Just add some big hair, bigger sunglasses, a cocktail and a cigarette holder and you are set. As an added bonus, the lemon and white will bring out that tan of yours you’ve spent all summer cultivating. [Suit Up!]
While the majority of celebrities and well-known names at the Ross School Grand Slam Tennis Match yesterday had their children and tennis rackets in tow with them, Aubrey O’Day had her dog and a mini-entourage instead. Here we have Ginger, Aubrey O’Day’s preened and primped white ball of fluff, who showed up at the tennis match in a white and sea-foam green sweater that matched her fur (obviously dyed by her “mommy”, Aubrey). Ginger’s ears and paws corresponded perfectly, but we were slightly disappointed to see they didn’t match Aubrey’s… get-up.
