via guestofaguest.com: We know some of you have already kissed summer goodbye with NYC’s Fashion Week already sweeping you into fall, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take time to reminisce right? There’s nothing better than looking back at your memorable summer once the party-hopping and beach bumming is all said and done. Our very own Editor in Chief, Rachelle Hruska asked her friends to share their favorite summer memories and New Yorkers from the likes of Kipton Cronkite, Douglas Friedman, Malcolm Harris, Carol Han, Ben Lerer, Christina Civetta, Derek Koch, Devorah Rose, Keith Lissner, and the GofG team, of course, responded with tales from the Hamptons and beyond including sailboat rides, volcano climbing, “Couture Super Heroes”, wine in water bottles, celebrity sightings, Britney Spears concerts, booze buses, late night laser tag, sneaking on to yachts, and so, so much more. Apparently we aren’t the only ones with an unforgettably outrageous summer behind us…MORE>>>
- Is Bernie Madoff’s former Montauk beach house one of the hottest pieces of Real Estate in town? Well, it received 23 visits from potential buyers over labor day weekend. So yes…It is. [NYT]
- Jon Bon Jovi has a thing for popping up out of nowhere armed with a guitar and a mic. He surprised the crowd at Stephen Talkhouse only after doing the same for diners at the Blue Parrot [CurbedHamptons]

Did you get a chance to check out the beautiful grounds of the Montauk Yacht Club this summer either to party at an event on the Great Lawn or to escape the Hamptons fuss at one of their private water-front bungalows? The club revealed it’s newly multi-million dollar makeover just in time to celebrate the 80th anniversary in June and now they’re ready to spend more. Next, they plan to build an additional 48,000 square feet of luxury condos to go right along with their newly renovated property… More »
The Jitney made our final pick for car of the day because there’s no denying it was the most popular vehicle in the Hamptons this summer rescuing many of you from the hot sticky city streets for an escape to the East End. It has been there for us all through good trips and bad (like that time you were stuck sitting next to the bathroom with a screaming toddler, behind a couple swapping spit, during rush hour traffic on the LIE for example)… More »

Remember your maiden voyage out to the Hamptons at the start of the summer? It was probably Memorial Day, you probably had too many people in your car, and the traffic was probably too much too handle. For us: Check, check and check, as you can see here by this pic of the GofG-mobile… More »
[Picture via Blog Urban Outfitters] Just like the weather this summer, our song selection was pretty random. Hackneyed British girl singers, the Beatles, bands you never heard of, and ones you grew up with, and of course hepcats galore. But that’s what made it so perfect for summer. Because not every moment is right for Lady Gaga, and sometimes you just need to chill out with some Talking Heads. Entitle it “Summer 09″, “Until Next Year”, or even better: “GofG Hamptons”, but whatever you do, just make sure to get these tunes on your iPod to get you through the winter season ahead.

- We’re confused. Richard Kimball Jr. works in finance AND he just got out of a divorce settlement? How does he have 2.5 mill for a summer rental? We’re more concerned about that than the topless parties he’s been throwing. [NYP]
- Someone told us Jon Bon Jovi was performing at Stephen Talkhouse on Friday. We didn’t believe them. We didn’t go. Please feel free to mock us for the rest of our lives. [Blog Hamptons]
