[Andre Agassi, Christie Brinkley and Alec Baldwin. Pictures by Adriel Reboh for The Ross School] Even though he technically never played tennis yesterday, Andre Agassi was still honored at the Ross School Tennis Center in East Hampton for everything he’s done for the sport. The legend attended the Grand Slam Winners & Celebrity Tennis Exhibition along with fellow pro players Petr Korda, Rennae Stubbs, and coach Nick Bollettieri…

Shirtless sweaty horsemen, Jumbo TV screens, and shutting off the booze supply is apparently what it would take to get Hamptonites to actually watch a polo match [PlumTV]
The 2009 Hampton Classic came to close Sunday afternoon and winner, McLain Ward, took home the $250,000 winning prize while making history as the FEI World Cup Qualifier for a record fourth time on his two-time Olympic gold medal horse, Sapphire, who we should mention is a 14 year-old mare. Apparently the old lady still has what it takes to keep up with the competition as Sunday marked the seventh win for Sapphire in 2009 alone. More photos below… More »

While the majority of celebrities and well-known names at the Ross School Grand Slam Tennis Match yesterday had their children and tennis rackets in tow with them, Aubrey O’Day had her dog and a mini-entourage instead. Here we have Ginger, Aubrey O’Day’s preened and primped white ball of fluff, who showed up at the tennis match in a white and sea-foam green sweater that matched her fur (obviously dyed by her “mommy”, Aubrey). Ginger’s ears and paws corresponded perfectly, but we were slightly disappointed to see they didn’t match Aubrey’s… get-up.

Apparently, TopShop is taking our Endless Summer motto very literally, because while some of their clothing store counterparts just keep slashing prices to get rid of their swimsuit inventory, the British shop actually seems to be getting a few new bikinis in. Take for example, this rope print bandeau bikini in white and blue with a cute little bow in the middle and removable straps (in case you aren’t a huge fan of tan-lines). It’s a shame that we couldn’t have gotten our hands on this at the very start of summer, but for only $50.00 it’s still a worthy buy even this late in the game. Because even if we aren’t the best at tying sailor knots, we sure don’t mind wearing them. [Suit Up!]

Photos by Christine Cho]John DeLucie, the executive chef of New York City restaurant and celebrity fave, The Waverly Inn, brought his charm (but unfortunately not his kitchen) to the Hamptons Saturday afternoon for a celebration and book signing of his new memoir The Hunger: A Story of Food, Desire, Ambition at Catherine Malandrino’s East Hampton boutique. The rainy Saturday afternoon event kicked off with a few fans from his celebrity-heavy clientele that typically crowd his West Village restaurant… More »
Even if your only exposure to travel this summer has had to do with the car, train or Jitney out to the Hamptons, almost everyone knows what it’s like to have a canceled flight. Even worse, is trying to deal with an airline when it comes to getting your money back. In Dear American Airlines: A Novel, Benjamin Ford is in the midst of a midlife crisis when he finds himself stranded in an airport for eight hours. En route to his daughter’s wedding, who he hasn’t seen since she was an infant, he begins drafting a letter to the airline to get his $392.68 back… More »
Summertime is more than just parties and the beach and the booze and flip-flops and little clothes and late nights. Although these are the things that make it most people’s favorite season, what makes it worth remembering at all are the friends you share all these things with. More »
[Photos via Corcoran] Our very own Carson Griffithfinally met her Hamptons hero Christie Brinkley (she’s been waiting patiently since June) at the Ross School Tennis Match Sunday afternoon.
