Word on the street is Bill and Hillary have been shacking up at Bill’s billionaire homeboy Thomas H. Lee’s East Hampton abode. During Bill’s White House tenure, the Lee was a frequent guest, and now it seems he’s returning the favor. So just who is T.H. Lee?

- A wildly successful investment banker and founder of Thomas H. Lee Capital, which owns or has owned Snapple, Playtex, First Alert, and GNC, among others.
- The first citizen of Massachusetts to bequeath over $20 million to a non-profit institution (to his alma-mater and desperately cash-strapped Harvard). Basically, across the board Lee is a huge donor, be it to universities, hospitals, museums, or charities. Google him and you’ll see what I mean.
- The son of art dealer Mildred Schif, who’s credited with introducing Boston to abstract impressionism.
- A major art collector who serves on the trustee boards of the MFA in Boston, the Whitney Museum, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and the Wagner Center for the Performing Arts, and overseer of the Boston Symphony and the New England Conservatory of Music, while his wife Ann Tenenbaum is on the boards of the DIA Center for the Arts, the Bard Center for Curatorial Studies, the Film Society of the Lincoln Center, and the contemporary painting, sculpture, and photography committees at the Whitney.
