Strawberry Love

You may have missed your chance for free strawberry daquiris, but the Mattituck Lion’s Club 54th Annual Strawberry Festival is going on all weekend. The festival, which in addition to strawberries in pure and sugared incarnations, features arts and crafts, rides, fireworks, and live music, sounds like the perfect antidote for a night of over-zealous Duning. Saturday’s the crowning of Miss Strawberry 2008, but I’m more excited for the shortcake eating contest. Think you can beat me?
